Our Staff

Pastor Dave Goss, MDIV, is a recent graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (class of '07), and is the lead pastor of Light and Life Goleta. Dave spent his high school years in the Santa Barbara area, graduating from San Marcos High School in 1988. Dave then went to Stanford University for his undergraduate work and graduated with a B.A. in Communication in 1992. Dave really made his mark on the volleyball court where he was a two-time First Team All-American and former NCAA record holder. Upon graduation and a stint playing professional volleyball in Brazil, Dave worked as a teacher and coach in the Torrance Unified School District in Los Angeles. It is with great joy that David is returning to the Santa Barbara/Goleta area to begin his first senior pastor assignment with Light and Life Goleta. Dave is married to Tracey, his wife of 7 years, who is a former marketing and public relations professional with Sebastian International, as well as a social worker with Goodwill Industries of Southern California. Tracey later worked as the Pastoral Care Minister for the Spouses of Asbury Seminarians. They have three boys, Noah, Caleb, and Micah. Their time is divided between ministry, soccer, basketball, laughter, and lots of quality family time.
