Our Vision
Those who call LLG home are enthusiastic participators in one worship service each week. They have an important part to play in every weekly service, whether leading the congregation in prayer or worship, preparing food, collecting an offering, welcoming a new attendee, or something else altogether. There are no “pew-warmers” at LLG, only participating actors in a drama of worship unto our Triune God. (drawn from Designing Worship Teams, by Cathy Townley)
Involvement in one small group each week is vital to spiritual growth (we hope to launch these by summer of 2008). Drawing from John Wesley’s models for discipleship, a consistent lifestyle of participation in Christian disciplines of prayer (both personal and intercessory), Bible Study, fasting, accountability, and giving is sought for every person seeking the complete life in Christ. Participation in these various groups is strongly encouraged for every person at LLG.
Also, consistent participation in one service of mercy and love unto the distant or local community is asked for from all. In this way, we best fulfill the mission of Christ for His Church “to love our neighbor as ourselves” (Mark 12:33).
